The Grail

ARK is played offline, so your trophies are yours alone. The Grail is the record of your whole collection, shared by every character on the device. It is part of the account checkpoint, so it survives a hero's permadeath.

What it records

Every unique, set piece, rune and runeword you have ever found or made:

  • how many copies you found,
  • your best copy, and how perfect it is.

Perfection

Most uniques, set pieces and runewords roll ranges (for example "+60-80% Enhanced Damage"). Perfection is the average position of each rolled value inside its range: 0% means every value rolled its minimum, 100% means a perfect item. Fixed values don't count. The ranges are on Unique items, Set items and Runewords.

The Grail keeps your best copy of each item and its rolls, ready for the Trophy Room. Only items the game could really have made count: every entry is checked against the item's own ranges, so an edited save can't fake a perfect roll.

Completion and milestones

The Grail tracks your progress per category (uniques, set pieces, runes, runewords). The rarest entries need high dungeon levels, the right monsters, magic find and a lot of patience: check Drop odds for benchmark odds, or use tools/dropcalc.gd for a live dungeon floor.

Every milestone the Grail reaches (5 uniques, 10 runes, every set piece...) gives every hero of the account a small bonus when setting out: magic find, gold find, experience, resistances, life, even +1 to all skills for finding every runeword. The Grail screen lists them, with your progress.

Browsing it

Journal → The Grail from the title screen opens your collection, one tab per category with its count, plus the milestones. Filter by found or missing, and narrow uniques by kind (weapons, armor, jewelry, charms) or set pieces by set. Entries go by required level, the order a hunt meets them. Tap one to see its base, what it can roll (even if you never found it: knowing what you hunt is half the hunt) and, once found, how many copies you have and your best one, roll by roll.
